Floral ATCs with Foiled Paper!

Heart Chain!

 I am over on the Rinea blog with an amped up Valentine's Day inspired Chain! This is a great way to add a little festive love to your home. Make A Bow!

Turkey Inspired Center Piece!

I am over on the Rinea Blog today with a fabulous Thanksgiving centerpiece!

There is a step by step tutorial on how to make one for your table. If you want to be able to view it from both sides simply make two and adhere in the middle.

I wanted something that reflected a turkey, but was not a turkey. I choose my favorite part -- the tail and finished it off with a big beautiful rose.

Snowman Card

This snowman card came together pretty fast! I used the Mandalay Die from Brutus Monroe on Rinea Foiled Paper to create the beautiful sparkle around the snowman. I stamped the snowman and a few snowflakes on a circle I had die cut from the foundation circle dies by Brutus Monroe . I used Stylefile alcohol markers to color in the scarf, hat and present and added a few bottle cap sequence. I layered it on a strip of vellum and pattern paper.

The Heart of a Lion Book Marker

Joy Clair Stamps and Rinea Foiled Paper have teamed up this month to bring you amazing projects featuring the new Ghost ink! I created a tutorial for you on how to use this amazing new ink as well as the back story to it. You can find those HERE .

Star Struck ATC

My daughter is involved in the drama department at her school. She has been in one play and one musical this last year. There was a mini album class featuring Graphic 45 and their vintage hollywood line. I knew it would be perfect for her, so I signed her up. She cam home with lots of scraps which I was thrilled with! I could not wait to make cards with them, but first this ATC:

Canvas Art

Step into any craft store these days and you are going to see a canvas that has a print waiting to be colored. I decided to take it a different direction....

 I started off with just a black and white image on canvas. I knew that I wanted to keep it simple.

 So, I cut out sections and laid left over Rinea Foiled Paper on the back of the cut out sections so they popped through the front.

 I outlines a few spots and added punched flowers to finish it off.

By using the canvas in a different ways it gives it more of a grown up feel that can be displayed anywhere in your home or office.

4th of July DIY

4th of July is almost here! I created this fun center piece! 

 I gathered some paint, Rinea Foiled Paper, stencils and FloraCraft cubes to create it.

4th of July Card

Summer is in full swing in these parts and I can't wait for the 4th of July! To kick it off I made a fun card! Let me show you how to do it.

 To assemble this card you are going to need Star Struck Sapphire and  Glossy Ruby foiled paper. Cut approximately 8 squares at 1.5 inches. Then, cut those squares in half to make triangles.

 Roll each triangle around a pencil with the point as the center.

Gently squeeze the bottom of rolled foiled paper. The edges need to be fairly flat as to line up with the rest  of the petals.

 Adhere the pedals forming a circle on a card base. Make a rosette out of the Rudy Foiled Paper. Flip the leftover Ruby Foiled paper over and punch out flowers with the gold side.

 Assemble punched flowers and images on top of flowers and adhere.

 Add some bling for the center of each flower.

 Let adhesive dry and give to a loved one!

Father's Day Cards

It is almost here -- Father's Day! Do you struggle with finding the perfect gift for Dad? I know I certainly did! Now, I encourage the kiddos to make cards for their Dad served up with a homemade breakfast and a new lego set (really aren't men all into legos?) . I'm obsessed with Brutus Monroe's Stamp of the Month and thought it would pair nicely with a mustache embossed sheet of Rinea Foiled Paper in Copper.

 For the first card I ran a piece of Rinea Foiled Paper through my Cuddlebug with a mustache embossing folder I had in my stash. I adhered it to black cardtock, punched some stars out of Ruby Rinea Foiled Paper and assembled the card. I used some mesh from my stash to add a bit more texture to the card making sure it stayed flat so I could mail it.

 For the next card, I embossed copper foiled paper again. Only this time I used a white card base and assembled the card.

These cards are so much fun to make! They are easy enough the a kiddo can put it together for their Dad.

Unicorn Journal

As you know unicorns are all the rage right now. Starbucks even came out with a limited edition drink that actually sold out in ten hours at my local store. Sadly I did not get one, but I really only wanted it for the picture I would take of it and post on instagram...or maybe put in this journal:

I had a lot of fun creating this! I still am not sure what I am going to use it for, but it will find a use soon enough. Since it is a digital download I can reprint pieces I want as often as I need them. I am thinking a birthday card made from one of the gorgeous pages and even a gift card holder! I did a fun walk through of it so you can see the inside on my YouTube. You can check it out here

Rinea Foiled Paper Unboxing!

Guess what came? My Rinea DT box! I made the 2017 - 2018 DT and I am super excited! I had the pleasure of meeting the owner at Creativation 2017. I introduced them to my favorite local German restaurant. This company has a special place in my heart because it was born out of a childhood memory and tradition that took place in Germany. I was an exchange student my first year of college in 1993 - 1994 in Germany. I remebered this foiled paper and the stars at Christmas.
