As you may know, I am committed to creating Fall cards from things I already own. I am embarressed to admit this, but I have had this gorgeous embossing folder in my stash for a few years and have not ever used it -- until now! I knew it would be lovely with Rinea Foiled Paper .

 It embossed perfectly! I love how crisp and shiny the leaves embossed.

 I die cut this sweet little owl and ran a permanent ink pad over him and backed him to a green piece of pattern paper.

I really enjoy using Rinea because it is sturdy, lightweight and adds something unique to cards.

Boorific!

I found this pumpkin die in my stash and knew it needed to be on a card. Once again I pulled out my Brutus Monroe Stamps because I think I got this die with the stamp set. I wanted to make it pop so I thought it would be fun to cut it out using Rinea Foiled Paper! 

 To create the pumpkin I die cut it on orange starstruck paper and traced the die on ebony foiled paper as a backing. I ran it through my sticker machine and attached it to my card base. So easy!

 I stamped the little crow and pumpkin that I water colored in and trimmed with my Scan n Cut.

I like to use Rinea Paper on projects like this. It cuts beautifully and is striking.

Aged Shadow Box

Im over on the Rinea blog today sharing a sweet little shadow box I made. I used left overs scraps of foiled paper and the 3 D Rolled Star Die to create the center piece that I topped off with a Lisa Kettell Design head. The container is acutally a tin can I have stored flowers in for about a decade. I used one of the Prima paint systems to rust it up!

This project is quite stunning and came together relativly quickly!

Color Burst Layouts!

I created two layouts in which I used Colorburst as the background! I may never buy pattern paper again! Here is the first one:

 For this layout I used a red and yellow Colorburst. I drenched it in water because I really wanted it to run. I used a heat gun to push the color around and was quite pleased with how it turned out. 

 Am I the only one that finds teenage birthdays (or just birthdays in general) challenging? I love the little clay resin piece from Lisa Kettell Designs ! It is the perfect finishing touch to the layout.

I then created this layout using Tim Holtz Distress crayons in a red a blue color and layering Colorburst on top of it. I colored half the side where the picture is red and the other half blue. I rubbed it out a little with my damp finger. I added Colorburst over the color they matched and extended it out just a little with my sprinkling. I misted it heavier  closest to the spot the picture was going to go and lighter farther away. I did not use a heat gun because I did  not want to push the color around. I let it dry and added Nuvo drops from Tonic.

 I die cut stars from Rinea Foiled Paper and added them to the bottom corner of the page.

Winter Wonderland Reverse Canvas

Today I am sharing a fun canvas I made for Christmas. Living in the Southwest we don't really get a true winter. We get more of a spring and summer. Keeping that in mind I created this canvas:

I used Rinea Foiled Paper, Lisa Kettell Design Clay pieces, straws and my stash to make it.

We Craft New Monthly Stamps!

The Heart of a Lion Book Marker

Joy Clair Stamps and Rinea Foiled Paper have teamed up this month to bring you amazing projects featuring the new Ghost ink! I created a tutorial for you on how to use this amazing new ink as well as the back story to it. You can find those HERE .

Embossing Folder Technique 3!

Today I am going to share with you the third technique in this four part series -- Foil! That's right --FOIL! Give it a try! You will absolutely love it. I used Rinea Foiled Paper with beautiful stars, but you could use just regular aluminum foil from your kitchen to make a fun masculine card with gears or outer space theme. I like the Rinea for this card because it holds it shape so well and is hard ti wrinkle. You can find the entire line with gorgeous colors and tools Here .
