Resolution Mini Album

Did you actually think I was gonna post an album about New Year's Resolutions? Well.....yes and no. As some of you know my family and I own a kennel and we breed Golden Retrievers. I always do an album of each litter. Our last litter left yesterday to their new homes. They were born around the first of the year, thus naming them the "Resolution Litter". There were 7 puppies in the litter and.....get this.....they were all boys!

See, those tags? Well, I made a huge error. See this album was suppose to hold room for 6 puppies and we had 7. I had to add two pages to make it all work. I simply made two pockets out of the coordinating paper and then took the extra pictures of the litter and made tags out of them on my Cricut.

Here are the pages of the book. Each page has a picture of the puppy and a picture of the puppy with their owner. I also included the names of each little monster (and I say that with the utmost love in my voice because the were the sweetest little monsters ever!).

Sorry about the flash on this one:

Here is the back side of the album and a few of the tags.
Close up of one of the tags.
You know you looked at this post and said "AWWWWWWWWW" the whole time.....admit it.....these puppies melted your heart. I know they did mine :-)

If you would like to learn more about Golden Retriever and how to pick out a puppy here is a website:

Super Hero Cards

I decided to complete some challenges today...both card challenges (which I find challenging enough!) and here they are:

The first is from this site:
http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/

and here is the sketch from that site:

So, I took that pretty girly sketch and turned it into this:
Of course I had to make an envelope:
This is another sketch made with the same line (Close to My Heart "Superhero") and it is from this site:
http://counterfeitkitchallenge.blogspot.com/
Here is the sketch:

And this is what I came up with:
Of course I have a matching envie:
I am pleased with them and have a few ideas who I am mailing them off to. I have had a lot of fun with this line. Thanks for stopping by:-)

Super Hero and Captain Underpants!

I must confess that I LOVE the Superhero WOTG kit by CTMH. It was just what I needed to finish up the boys' birthday party.  I stink at birthday layouts.

But, if you really want to know the truth....I mean the REAL truth, I got this Superhero collection for this ONE picture of my Parker. See, Parker hates underwear and to make a statement he put on his underwear over his pants. Look at that happy smile...he so thinks that he won the battle. Truth be told it is really I who will get the last laugh because you know that in 10 years when he brings his girlfriend or buddies home with him I am so gonna pull this LO out and show all. Yep, when he is a police officer I will be taking this picture down to the station and proudly showing all who will see!

The Struggle of the Easter Card

As I was looking through the spring and summer CTMH caddy I saw this cute card:
I knew that I wanted to recreate it for our Easter Card this year. I looked through my CTMH card books (basically it is a sketch book with a bunch of different card options in it for the card making challenged like me). Usually if their is a card in the caddy the sketch of it is in one of the CTMH books, but I could not find it -- and I have all the books! So this is what I did in my caddy:
I then ordered my stamp set:
I saw that there was a flower at the top left corner of the card and I had ordered this stamp set for another line, but thought it would work. Wanna know what is really cool? The CTMH Art Philosophy cart has a setting so  I can cut that flower at on my Cricut. The measurement is even on the stamp set, so it is pretty effortless on my part.
Next I gathered my supplies. I really liked what was used in the caddy, but the line it came from I have no use for and would rather use my stash. I ended up swapping the buttons out for bling. Do you see the white dots? Those are actually adhesive springs that I planned to use to pop one of the bunnies. New item from CTMH and very cool!
Here is my first attempt at the card. Of course I had to make a matching envelope:
The next card I placed the bunnies closer together and like it better than my first attempt:
Here is a close up of the cool little spring:
I made 6 cards and it took me 4 hours. I never wanted to spend that long making these, but considering that I had to come up with the measurements of the sketch (that still ended up not being exactly what was in the book) it is no wonder it took me that long.

Have you started your Easter cards yet? If not, Easter is on April 8 this year and you have just about 7 weeks left. Happy creating :-)

Harry Potter LO

One of the movies we saw last summer was the final Harry Potter. We not only saw it, we sat in line for it the day it came out. Naturally I had to take pictures of the waiting...forever....the waiting....anyways, here are the LO I created about the day. I lucked out because I found this entire HP line through CI and the HP die cut I picked up at the scrap booking convention in Chicago last summer.

Thanks for stopping in :-)

Love is in the Air

I thought I would post these cute little cards I made in honor of Valentine's Day. In reality I did not make them for Valentine's Day, but for my Mom. Her last name is Love and I used this Workshop on the Go Set that was released in the summer through CTMH. I made all of these with the left overs (16 cards) and the stamp set that came with the set. I did use a few little embellishments from my stash too.
Here are a few close ups of a few of my favorites:
