Layout Round Up!

One of my goals for 2018 has been to catch up on my scrap booking. I have been scrap booking since 1990 and up until 2012 I was not behind. In 2012 I got a job outside of the home and it just went to the back burner. I was still taking pictures and my collection of them were growing. I got back into my craft room in 2014, but my focus was on mixed media and card making. I seemed to have lost my mojo for scrap booking, though it is one of the most important things I do for my family -- memory keeping. I think part of the problem was scrap booking was not "in" anymore. So, this year I decided to focus once again on memory making. I am happy to say that I have made a dent in my photos and possibly could catch up in the near future! Here are a few recent pages I have created:

They are an odd assortment of themes, but I scrap when inspired ;-)

Technique Tuesday!

I am starting a new series on my blog, "Technique Tuesday", in which I share a quick tip with you that is between 1.5 and 3 minutes long. This week I share how to stamp the perfect title. I use this layout as the example:

How many times  have you wanted to stamp directly on something and been concerned it would go on crocked? This was a real struggle of mine for years until I learned this one simple trick and I am sharing it with you here:

November 2017 Layout Round Up

I am still working on catching up my family album! For November I set goals to complete a set amount of scrapbook pages each week. Here is what I accomplished:
This layout makes me smile because it is three generations. The picture was taken last summer on a trip back home in which I got to met my nephew for the first time.

I finally got last year's Christmas cookie decorating page done:

The following is not a layout, but an art journal page I created. I have been struggling with some self worth issues lately. I journaled about my feelings in the background by rotating the journal 90 degrees after I filled up the page. The colors and look represent how I have been feeling internally.

Brutus Monroe Feature -- First Day of School Layout!

Brutus Monroe is releasing new stamps on Sept 30, 2017 that are perfect for back to school! The Chalkboard and books are from two of the sets. I really like them because my kids are not little anymore, so a lot of the back to school stamp sets are to adorable for them. They need to be cool! I am over on the Brutus Monroe Blog  today sharing how I created this layout so please check it out!
