I have been lusting after the new paper that prima has out that looks like cardboard pattern paper that you can distress. I could not find any at my LSS, but I did find this new stuff! It is called "The Goods" and it is basically die cut cardboard. I am sure that I could make my own to a certain degree, but to get the shapes would be a challenge. Here is a step by step process of what I did with it for a LO.
2 types of glimmer mist, paint dabber, crackle paint, distress ink, and an exacto knife is what I used to alter these.
This is what it looked like after I painted, crackled, and used the exacto knife to pull pieces away exposing the center.
This is what it looked liked after I added the distress ink and glimmer mist.
Here is what I did with it on this Layout of my daughter!
This is really a neat thing to do, but if you don't want to use shapes you really could just use cardboard! ;-)
