I got another cute little cupcake girl stamp from Fresh Brewed Designs. She is Chocolate and I knew she needed to be on my daughter birthday page. I love these girls!

Art Journal

I am really enjoying my art journal this year. Each week when I get the prompts I always think "I can't do that!" I then get over myself and do them. Here are some recent pages for my journal I have done:

 You Make Me Smile
 Doddle a Border

Finishing Up Spring Break

We went to SeaLife AZ and had a blast! I highly recommend this place (even though it is expensive). I dug into another Studio Calico Kit to complete this page.

The last place we went on spring break was Challenger Space Center. It was a great learning experience for the kids and I. I broke out my Cricut and some old CTMH paper I had in my stash to  complete the page.
It feels so good to use up stuff in my stash!

Old Studio Calico Kits

For four days last week I was sick with a strange illness that did not make me feel bad other than my throat. I was not sure if I was contagious or not, so I stayed home. It was the best four days of the year so far because it allowed me to have time to scrap! The first thing I did was pulled out a few of my old Studio Calico kits. Here are the pages I completed with them:

We found Montezuma's castle on the way to Bearizona over spring break 2013. I always thought Montezuma was not real. Ha! It was so interesting to see and learn about these Native Americans and how they lived. The wooden feathers seemed like a nice addition to the page.
Bearizona is a must see for the state of Arizona. It is kind of like Jurassic Park only not with dinosaurs, but bears and other cool animals like wolves and bison! I used two Maya Road envelops to house 20 more photos we took that day.
We also went to AZ Sealife that is in one of our awesome malls that also happens to have Rainforest Café. Let's face it, you don't go to the Rainforest Café for the food. You go for the atmosphere. My daughter got the brilliant idea to suck soda up her nose and of course her little brother had to follow in her sucking steps. Naturally I had to take pictures of it all!

Christmas 2013

This last Christmas I had a minor panic attack because I could not find the 2012 Christmas album. I then realized I had not scrapped them! So, to avoid this happening in 2014 I made sure to get the 2013 album together ASAP. Here are a few pages out of it:

I found the album while visiting my friend in Indiana. It is by Hiedi Swapp. I was a little scared of it because it was super cool with all of these great shapped pages and tags!
I added this pocket at the end to keep the rest of the Christmas cards as well as the one we sent out. Yes I did duct tape my kids' mouths shut and wrap them in lights!
Christmas Eve Dinner! This is one of my favorite pictures and I really appreciated the tag to put the menu on.
The kids wrote their yearly letters to Santa (in which Santa took shopping with him this year because he had a hard time). I added a cute little pocket and placed their letters in them. I always save them. I think they are special :-)

A Few Layouts with my Counterfit Kit for January

I know I posted my kit earlier this month, but here it is again along with all the pages I have been able to complete using it:

This one is my favorite page I have completed with the kit. The picture I love, but knew it would be a challenge to scrap. I really like how it all came together.
Until next time: HAPPY CRAFTING!

Journal 52

Yesterday I shared with you my journal entries for the "Documented Life". Well, I had another smashbook that I wanted to use, so I decided to join another challenge group. This one is called Journal 52. I feel as though these challenges as of late really stretch my creativity. In fact, I have not finished the most recent one because I am still trying to figure out how to do it. Here are the ones I do have done:

Prompt 1: Up Up and Away. I took glossy paper and used alchol ink on it. I then used a stazon stamp pad and stamped the rocket image as well as the city scape. I then stamped the superhero on white cardstock, colored him in, cut him out and stuck him on the page as well as the conversation bubble. I finished it off with some rub ons.
Prompt 2: A Relaxing Place. Altered a bingo travel card and used that as a base after I stamped coffee rings. I then used watercolor crayons and placed a transparency over it with a stamped image on it. I then stamped a coffee and put it all together.
Until time: HAPPY CRAFTING!
