Documented Life Project

I have a few smashbooks and I have really wanted to use them, but I just don't know what to do with them. I thought they would make great journals, but kept hitting a wall on how to journal with them. I saw an awesome "Front Door" page on a FB group page I follow. She posted that she was doing the "Documented Life Project". I goggled it, found it and immediately jumped in the fun! Here are my entries for it so far:

First, Here is my altered smashbook!

 Prompt One: My Front Door. I took a picture of my front door, glimmer misted it, added bling and flowers and stamped a wreath. I love my security screen. It allows me to see out and no one to see in.

 Prompt Two: Selfie. I confess that I groaned when I learned what the prompt was. I am so tired of selfies. I am sorry, but the "Book of Me" albums have been so overdone in my opinion that the last thing I wanted to do was another page with my mug on it. Instead I used my stamps to showcase things about me, without putting my picture on it. I kind of like it....

 Prompt Three: Use a mail Envelope. This is my very favorite page so far! I received a beautiful mail art piece from a friend I made on FB and knew it needed to be the center of my page. She stamped three images on the back of it. I simply cut them out, colored them in and distressed the edges. The stamps were off of a letter my brother sent me.

 Prompt Four: Write a sentence or quote and paint over all but one word. I cheated. I left two words unpainted. My saying is "Work hard on yourself. Don't be hard on yourself." I really like the quote, but I wish I would have not added the blue paint. I am not happy with the effect. I do like everything else about it though :-)
